Understanding Applied Socialism...

Democrats responding poorly to the Democratic Socialist victories of late have forgotten, never knew, the history of the US economy.

To review:

There were multiple, "panics," (recessions in 19th century America) that were caused by the over reach of private credit.  The Great Depression in 20th century America; same cause.  The Great Recession in 21st century USA also had the same cause: over extended private credit.

What panic mongers, and their ilk, don't care to understand is that no matter how much the Republican criminal syndicate runs up the federal deficit it causes the perception of problems that they desire, but it does not cause recessions or depressions!

Why not?

Because the US government controls the money supply.  The folks who buy US Treasury Bonds/Notes don't dump their investments because the government can, if the need arises, print all the money needed. That might cause inflation, but the debt is always paid.

The same does not apply to private debt.

The fix for the Great Depression was socialist... Yes I just triggered some who will not review the history that they have avoided so well, so far.

Unregulated capitalism is feudalism!

Properly applied socialism gave the United States the largest, most equitable, economy in the world, from 1946 - 1976.

The big tent that is, as it should be, the Democratic party needs to understand the role that government, including applied socialism (regulated capitalism), has played in the incredible success that has been our US economy.

A group of way too rich, megalomaniacs (aristocrat wannabes) have purchased the Republican party to create the Republican criminal syndicate; purchased the White House for Reagan and the criminal in chief that is merde l'orange; added the SCOTUS to their list of purchases.

These megalomaniacs have three pronouns: me, myself and I...  Aren't just unwilling to share, they never have enough for themselves; want more, more and more still.

The voters have to put the Democrats in control of the government or, "we the people," will never get our democratic republic back.  The Democrats we elect have to understand the enormity of the task they will, hopefully, be told to fulfill and get it done!
