Democrats 2022 to 2023, and Beyond...

Democrats had tremendous voter turn out in November 2022 and in Georgia on December 6th, 2022. Still Hershel Walker received, a nearly competitive, large number of votes; Stacy Abrams did not win in GA; no statewide offices flipped red to blue in TX; NY gerrymandering flipped too many offices blue to red...

Democrats still have lots of work to do insuring consistent voter turn-out, stopping gerrymandering and codifying the ease of the eligible voters to cast their ballot.

Enjoy the qualified, good, Democratic election results of 2022, and then we get back to work in 2023 and beyond!

Why Government, Not Business, Provides Some Services

It is time for a relatively simple explanation of why government must do certain tasks and why all, who can, must pay taxes if said tasks are to be done well.

The business of business is profit; period. Any and every thing that needs be done, for as close to everybody as is possible, with little, to no, potential for profit must be done by government.

The Republican party (Qpublican after the insurrection of January 6th, 2021) has adopted Grover Norquist's proposition that, “government must be shrunk till it can be drown in a bathtub,” has made them into the, “can't do party,” of these United States.

Education (infant child care, pre-K, K - 12th grade, public trade schools, community colleges and universities; through post Doctorate) is expensive to accomplish well for everybody. There is no profit to providing these tasks, because providing for a well educated population produces no cash/profit (readily liquid assets). Business benefits by having a more capable work force drawn from a well educated populous; expands potential, business opportunities.

Basic research is also best done by government because beneficial research may not be recognized as useful in early to middle stages. Federally Funded Research and Development Centers have established, and continued, the USA as the innovation center of the world. Businesses availed themselves of that innovation; did not do it on their own.

Health care in the United States has most often been for profit; most expensive, least effective medical care/results of the most economically advantaged countries of the world: https://blueboomerhd.blogspot.com/2020/11/voting-in-your-own-best-interest.html

Transportation infrastructure (e.g.: roads, bridges, airports, seaports, etc...) is best done by government, because it too is expensive to do well and, once again, there is no profit. Businesses find easier and more efficient means to get there from here.

Texas has had two privately owned toll roads that both failed (declared bankruptcy) well within 2 years of opening to traffic. In an attempt to hasten profit the private companies cut corners in the facilities they constructed. TxDOT inherited millions of dollars of work necessary to bring the roads up to standard operating, safety requirements.

So, if someone tells you that you're paying too much in taxes, or not getting any benefit for your tax dollars, they are lying , or, they may have fallen prey to, are passing along, massive quantities of misinformation available from multiple sources (click on the link above for more/multiple sources of better information).

When someone says the quality/value of services rendered by government is lacking then eligible voters are not voting for better government representation; not communicating (briefly and politely) what is expected from their elected representatives.

For better, worse or indifference there is only one political party in these United States trying to do it's best for everybody: Democrats.

Vote, communicate and participate in our democratic republic to get what we deserve!

What To Do with Insurrectionists...

We now know that the Insurrection of January 6th 2021 was planned in advance, and that some in the Secret Service, FBI, and other federal agencies, were aware of it beforehand. The Capitol could, and should, have been prepared like the Lincoln Memorial was during the previous summer's BLM gathering.

Problems in some federal agencies come to the fore.

If the first Impeachment of the orange menace hadn't been torpedoed, almost unanimously by the Qpublican party, the Insurrection, in total, might have been moot. The orange menace would have been removed from office; most probably couldn't have run for re-election.

All the legislators voting against Impeachment/Conviction, and personnel in the aforementioned federal agencies, abandoned their oath of office, “to protect and defend the Constitution.” They all should be subject to Section 3 of the 14th Amendment and removed immediately, and permanently, from any office requiring allegiance to said oath.

Let's clear out the people who were complicit to, or directly involved in, the Insurrection of January 6th 2021.

The Congress would still have the quorum needed to conduct the business of the US government: expanding SCOTUS and passing legislation (e.g., voting and civil rights acts passed previously in the US House, and encode into law that a woman's health issues are her own business, exclusively).

It's time to reclaim and restore the Democratic Republic, as defined in the US Constitution, that we are too close to losing.

Genetic Engineering Questioned

Humans are very new to the field of genetic research, and therefore should not be assumed to be accurate when they present results in genetic research and the resulting Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) from the new fields of Genetic/Biological Engineering.

The paper, excerpted below, demonstrates the unreliable results of a major tool, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), broadly used in genetic research.

Author: Eran Elhaik, PhD. Population, medical, and evolutionary genomics. Associate Professor at the Department of Biology, Lund University, Sweden

Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a multivariate analysis that reduces the complexity of datasets while preserving data covariance. The outcome can be visualized on colorful scatterplots, ideally with only a minimal loss of information. PCA applications, implemented in well cited packages like EIGENSOFT and PLINK, are extensively used as the foremost analyses in population genetics and related fields (e.g., animal and plant or medical genetics). PCA outcomes are used to shape study design, identify, and characterize individuals and populations, and draw historical and ethnobiological conclusions on origins, evolution, dispersion, and relatedness. The replicability crisis in science has prompted us to evaluate whether PCA results are reliable, robust, and replicable.

...We demonstrate that PCA results can be artifacts of the data and can be easily manipulated to generate desired outcomes. PCA adjustment also yielded unfavorable outcomes in association studies. PCA results may not be reliable, robust, or replicable as the field assumes. Our findings raise concerns about the validity of results reported in the population genetics literature and related fields that place a disproportionate reliance upon PCA outcomes and the insights derived from them. We conclude that PCA may have a biasing role in genetic investigations and that 32,000 - 216,000 genetic studies should be reevaluated...

Introducing GMOs into the wild/world is akin to people creating and releasing invasive species into the environment...

What could possibly go wrong?

Democrats Need To Ditch the Kid Gloves

Democrats,

It is time to ditch the kid gloves, forever.

We, and our democratic republic, are under distinct and severe threat, because we play fair and nicely even though it has been demonstrated, time and again, that Re/Qpublicans will not do same.

There is no more, never has been, a good justification for the Senate's filibuster;

There is only one team seeking bi-partisan support, for anything, in the US and state legislatures... Time for us, Democrats, to stop also;

Seek to do what would increase our US House majority;

Establish a functional, simple majority in the US Senate;

Increase the number of Democrats holding elected offices in all the US states and territories;

etc, etc, etc...

Fixing Our Democratic Republic After Republican/SCOTUS Efforts to Break It.

Democrats,

VA Hospitals, rural abandoned hospitals, federal buildings, military bases, etc...  Can be used to create federal, women's clinics.

Federal, military, medical personnel, and federal contractors (from said rural hospitals and closed clinics)...  Can staff these clinics.

Protected prescriptions (from the aforementioned, women's clinics) to customers/patients via the USPS.

Use federal facilities and personnel to fill needs, the SCOTUS recently created, and fill the gaps till voters can give Democrats the legislative majorities needed to correct said issues more permanently.

Always remember, as in the case of women's health care, voting and civil rights, etc..., What was once secured can be taken away by a persistent pestilence currently known as Republicans.

There can be no worries about bi-partisanship till there is a second party not determined to ruin our democratic republic in the name of their own power.

Be Part of the Solution in the USA

Fascism has arrived in the USA.

Get angry, and then be the one of the folks who channel their energy, and, more important, their vote to fixing the problems that not voting allowed to happen.

It's people not voting that failed their country...  A Democratic Republic requires voter participation.

The people who have always showed up, and voted (Hillary called them, "deplorables"), were given the ability to bring us here by those of us who bought into the lie that our vote didn't  matter.

Every vote cast matters!

Founding Document Basics...

This is for those least likely to read it...

Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness...” is as close to health care as anything included in the Declaration of Independence, and yet SCOTUS declared that women can't have it.

FYI... Medicines, shipped by US mail, are protected against any and all interference by federal law.

2nd Amendment enthusiasts, who have no idea what is actually written in said amendment, would skip over the first four words (“A well regulated militia”) to get to where their imaginations think the word, “gun,” is mentioned...

Keep and bear arms,” in the 18th century (when the document was written, and not amended at all since then) means to possess the weapons one would bring when called to service in the government's (British aristocracy or American democratic republic) militia. The 18th century weapons included: pikes (variation on a spear), bow and arrow, sword and fire arms (black powder, muzzle loading, single shot, musket and/or pistol), and (for those who could afford it) a black powder, muzzle loading, single shot, rifle.

Fire arms, not guns; guns didn't exist when the document was written, and it hasn't been amended since then.

There's Only One Party in Our Democratic Republic...

Democrats need to step up the messaging. Forget bi-partisan and run on the GOP/Re/Qpublican's, decades long, war on nearly everything Democrat.

Bring every bill that passes in the House to the Senate for a vote; explain what said bill would've done if it had been allowed to pass...

Explain the Jim Crow, filibuster and who always stops it's repeal; remind voters again and again and again, ad infinitum...

The Re/Qpublicans have forced the need for continuing resolutions, in lieu of bi-partisan budget legislation, for decades...

Gingrich, as House majority leader, stopped as much as he could of the Clinton administration's legislative agenda. A serious version of the ACA, Bill Kristol warned that if it was in place for a couple of years it would be so widely appreciated that it would impossible to undo, was stopped before it could ever become law....

Re/Qpublicans have tried to outsource, or eliminate, starting almost immediately after each program came to be: Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

The Re/Qpublican party is the party of, "shrink government till it can be drowned in a bath tub," and did everything possible to make it's government, “can't do,” philosophy self fulfilling...

Moscow Mitch, as Senate majority leader, declared his most important job was to make Obama a one term President...

The Re/Qpublican party sent a delegation to Moscow July 4th 2018...

The Qpublican party wouldn't impeach the orange menace, twice, even after he provoked insurrection...

Legislation, during the Biden administration, has repeatedly passed in the House only to die in the Senate...

Election reform, repair and update of the Voting Rights Act, has been blocked by Re/Qpublicans at every opportunity, because they know they can't win a fair election...

The Senate has become the most recent, Re/Qpublican place where good legislation, that has already passed in the House, goes to die!

If we don't advertise, in reasonably affordable places (e.g., multiple platforms on the Internet), we will be the reason we, Democrats, do poorly in all upcoming elections.

Remember that anyone that had anything to do with the Insurrection, including those who confessed to said participation via acceptance of a pardon, need be on the receiving end of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

Well, How Did We Get Here?

The Insurrection of January 6, 2021 once again brings violence to the fore in the continuing, re-prosecution of the (un)Civil War...

It's been hard for some to come to grips with, “Well, how did we get here?”

White supremacists have been integral to these United States... First, the history of the Americas, the western hemisphere, has been documented as starting in 1492; in spite of massive amounts of accumulated evidence that people have resided on the entire landmass for tens of thousands of years...

Labor was provided by slaves; brought to the Americas involuntarily...

That the USA's founding fathers were enlightened, in an 18th century context, while still prone to being white supremacists; white men owning property were the only original voters, those held as slaves were counted as three fifths of a person in the original census and indigenous people did not count at all...

That for the last 50 plus years Democrats have felt a need to be nonpartisan, reaching across the aisle in a centrist (neo-liberal) way, while picking up the pieces of the economic and social messes Republicans created. (see also, the book: Bulls Bears and the Ballot Box by Bob Deitrick and Lew Goldfarb)...

Some things to keep in mind while promoting progressive (Keynesian) Democrats up and down all ballots in 2022, and beyond...

FDR (D): The New Deal and Keynesian economics, etc...

JFK (D): 1962 Speech at Rice University, FFRDCs, etc...

LBJ (D): Great Society, Medicaid, Civil and Voting Rights Acts, etc...

SCOTUS: 1973 Roe v. Wade...

Obama (D): Affordable Care Act, etc...

Biden (D): American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, etc...

The media has been promoting a, “both sides do it,” in creating the chaos that has haunted our United States of America for, at least, the last century.

That's patently incorrect.

Conservatives, in the guise of Republicans since the Reagan administration, created problems while trying to return to the problematic, white supremacist, roots of these United States.

Democrats have picked up the messes while refusing to point out the errors, and without ever holding those, who were intentionally making those errors, in a recurring nightmarish series of events, responsible.

Elections and investigations can give us the power to correct the errors of the recent past and hold those criminally responsible to task.

Remember, this is a recurring problem, because we, who should know better, get comfortably self-satisfied and forget that those, who would do whatever it takes to serve only themselves, never go away.

Keep your eyes open, and: Vote! Vote! Vote!

Environmental Groups Must Address Both Sides of Climate Change

Can 350.org, UCS, FOE, Greenpeace, etc... walk and chew gum?

Fossil fuels are, and always have been, key to the Industrial and the Information Ages. We aren't anywhere near being able to provide renewable energy to power the world we live in, so (like it or, preferably, not) fossil fuel production continues!

We must be able to provide the HVAC we are all accustom to, light for buildings, streets, etc... Then we must add all the renewable energy and infrastructure needed to power transportation...

That's an extremely tall, almost unbelievably so, order that we aren't, yet, taking seriously.

I started a company to take transportation over half way to reducing fuel consumption, and associated tailpipe emissions. It isn't being done by the established transportation industry players, because there are wealthy and powerful influences against anything that reduces hydrocarbon profits.

I recently testified about the aforementioned transportation issues to both the EPA and USDOT, but that, too, is an attempt to register a tortoise for a marathon.

It is well past time that 350.org, and all the other responsible environmental boosters, worked both sides of the problem. We owe that to the future generations from whom we lease the Earth.

Bill Maher Jumps the Shark

Bill Maher is a Qpublican talking point, and misleading his audience (of which I am still one) in a number of ways:

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment is real and applicable;

Real investigations take a frustratingly long time, especially when it involves thousands of people and incredibly, enormous quantities of evidence;

Government is flawed because it is done by people. Our government has been hampered by decades of, “trying to shrink government till it can be drowned in a bathtub,” and, “Supply Side economics,” promoted by Republicans/Qpublicans (after January 6th 2021) and Neo-liberal (confused) Democrats;

The vast majority of things you depend upon everyday are here because of government: roads, bridges, airports, seaports, public education, Post Office, electricity (Rural Electrification Act, etc...), technology (Federally Funded Research and Development Centers), etc;

Don't want to live in an authoritarian, dictatorship you have to vote and for only one (Democrat), of two (find an independent party with a governing presence, anywhere in these United States), political parties;

Find out what medical research believes was the actual count of the dead, the real consequence, of Covid;

What masks and isolation did for the Flu;

If Bill's prediction for the midterm elections are correct he can look in the mirror, as a part of the, “conservative media,” for the reason.

President Biden, the US, EU and NATO Against the Napoleon Complex...

President Biden has done well reasserting our strong connection with NATO and the EU, and thereby building the united opposition to Russia's attempt at a new empire.

Russia's attempt at empire is created largely in the vacant space, where a brain might exist, of Putin's head. However, Putin needs the support of the kleptocrats (Russian, aristocrat wannabes)...

President Biden has worked with NATO and the EU to begin cutting off Putin, and the kleptocrats, from the money they'd stolen from Soviet industry and people during the USSR's collapse. Money kept in foreign currencies (largely US dollars, outside of Russia) because the Ruble is barely worth the paper it's printed on.

Putin's largest problem in waging his war is losing the support of the kleptocrats.

If Putin proceeds with a war against Ukraine, Russia will suffer the kind of annihilation Iraq incurred during the liberation of Kuwait. The war will injure and kill many Russian and Ukrainian people (military and civilian)...

Hurting the purses of the kleptocrats sufficiently to give the megalomaniacal sociopath, that is Putin, large problems at home is the only, nearly, bloodless way to end this empire building folly.

Here Comes Da Judge

Judgment day, no not that one, approaches and Qpublicans seek cover for their exposed backsides.

Patterns of speech seem rushed and some are talking with the House Committee investigating the events that happened on, and the approach to, January 6th 2021.

Former AG Bill Barr and former VP Mike Pence are realizing their activities and responses to events prior to the campaign for, election of, and activities during the 45th administration have qualified them for Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

Members of the US Congress who would not allow witnesses to be subpoenaed, would not insist on an unredacted copy of the Mueller Report, for the first impeachment of the orange menace are complicit in all the events of the entire 45th administration; are also subject to Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

If all the members of the US Congress had voted to impeach, convict, remove and had applied the previously referenced Constitutional Amendment, the events of January 6th 2021 (the insurrection at the US Capital) would have been moot. The legislators would have upheld their oath of office and defended the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic... The vast majority of Republicans abandoned their oath of office thus becoming the Qpublican party, all subject to Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

If the current AG and DOJ do not act in time to protect the elections of 2022, ad infinitum, they too may be in violation of the oath they also took before assuming office.

Missed Messaging...

 Submitted to the Op-Ed at the Washington Post, was rejected (for reasons that will be obvious) for publication.

Consistently missing the mark is a tradition that current, “news,” media are apparently trying to perfect...

For instance: A largely problematic Biden administration.

Really?

Large and essential programs were passed into law early in the Biden administration: American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Done with a simple, filibuster susceptible, majority, oft hamstrung by two DINOs (Senators Manchin and Sinema), in the Senate.

Inflation was caused by vendors realizing increased profits via raised prices. Middle class customers found themselves with money in their pockets (often because of the aforementioned legislative success) still needed to purchase the higher priced goods and services.

Scarcity of goods because, starting decades ago, manufacturing moved to the far east; largely to mainland, communist China. This allowed a global pandemic to wreak havoc on supply lines. “Just in time,” business practices added to the lack of inventory on hand. These are the choices made by American, business management that eliminated their own ability to handle exceptions/extenuating circumstances.

Restoring the Voting Rights Act, stripped of effective core elements by the SCOTUS, has not been successful because of the aforementioned DINOs and the Jim Crow, filibuster in the US Senate.

Covid is not controlled because of, mostly, vaccinated killers abusing their access to exceptionally powerful, bully pulpits to preach against caution, science and vaccinations to their gullible audiences.

Considering the obstacles the Biden administration has had to deal with, while fixing the chaos created in government bureaucracies by the previous administration, the first year of said Biden administration has been quite reasonably successful.

To Restore Democracy, or Not...

A democratic republic only exists when eligible voters vote.

The USA is an oligarchy because a majority, barely, of eligible voters only vote on presidential elections.

A minority, of about 25%, of eligible voters show up, without fail, for nearly every election. That allows them to dictate who governs from the local school board to the state capitol and on to Washington, DC. That 25%, that always votes, were accurately described as, “deplorables,” by Hillary Clinton.

Some of the oft altogether too silent majority are complaining that government isn't meeting their needs. That complaint rings hollow when too many of us are not doing our requisite duty of voting in as close to every election as is possible.

Our local, state and federal government can't do what we want because, by and in large, we don't show up!

The US Senate can't deliver, for our silent majority, till we vote for a majority of Senators that is sufficient, at a minimum, to eliminate the Jim Crow filibuster.

If our majority doesn't show up in 2022, and beyond, there are elements of the Qpublican party being positioned to rig elections that they don't win so that that no longer matters... If that is allowed to happen the USA will switch from oligarchy to authoritarian and what you wanted from the Democratic party will never, can no longer, happen.

Don't believe it? Watch the US House's investigation of the January 6th, 2021 insurrection, and the DOJ investigations into the Republican/Qpublican party. It ain't gonna be pretty! It will document how we lost our democratic republic.

Get the message out:

VOTE!

Vote Democrat, because at this time in US history they alone represent the idea of keeping a democratic republic.

Remember that 74% (99% - 25% = 74%) of the votes wins no matter how much money is thrown into the elections. That equation becomes history, unworkable, if we don't win by a large margin in 2022; and beyond.

Covid's Challenge

We, on Earth, have another global crisis, as if climate change just wasn't sufficient, known as a global pandemic.

After the discovery of Covid19's emergence into the world people sprang into action and put over fifty years of scientific and medical research into high gear.

Then, in these United States, politics kicked in and tried, with too much success, to impede the fight against Covid induced sickness and death.

From high and mighty, bully pulpits, vaccinated, self-anointed, killers preached anti-science to MAGA sheeple, who followed diligently.

Vaccs-holes and Covidiots emerged from the gullible audience and, as instructed, dissed all that science and medicine that would be used to help them. Then came that fateful day when they would be transported to a hospital where all, who worked within, would try to cure their largely self-inflicted maladies.

Despite the best efforts of science, and the support of many folks who provide life's essential services, nearly 1,000,000 people, in the US alone, have died; continue to die.

I have not, yet, joined the ranks of the, ”just die!” crowd, but sympathy for the self-inflicted misery and death, that challenges/threatens essential people at their jobs and works hospital staffs to well beyond weary grief and despair, wains.

I will avoid Covidiots for the plague they've chosen to become and will help, in whatever meager ways possible, to get those, who are aiding us in enduring this needlessly overwhelming tragedy, what they need.

Persevere!

Inflation unConflated

Inflation of 7% is not a problem.

The government programs passed early in the Biden administration (American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act) pumped much needed cash into the pockets of people and families needing help living indoors and eating.

Those folks could then do what they needed to do and they spent that money back into the economy.

Businesses did what businesses most often do when approached by customers with money to spend; they raised prices.

Inflation will not stay this high.

SCOTUS Infamy

Chief Justice John Robert's SCOTUS continues to cement it's infamous place in history...

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) can't mandate a uniform response to a global pandemic that has killed more than 800,000 Americans and worked our health care system (from the cleaning and maintenance crews to logistics to the nurses and doctors, etc...) to extreme, unnecessary, exhaustion.

However, a woman can be forced to carry a rapist's fetus to term...

Expand the SCOTUS, maybe; indict the Justices that have joined the vaccinated, Qpublican, homicidal maniacs, definitely.

Democrat's Tips for Inexpensive and Easy Campaigning

Some thoughts for cheap and easy messaging, via Internet (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc...), promoting Democratic candidates up and down all ballots starting in 2022.

FDR (D): The New Deal and Keynesian economics, etc...

JFK (D): 1962 Speech at Rice University, FFRDCs, etc...

LBJ (D): Great Society, Medicaid, Civil and Voting Rights Acts, etc...

SCOTUS: 1973 Roe v. Wade...

Obama: Affordable Care Act...

Biden (D): American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, etc...

Insurrection of 2021 brings violence to the fore in the re-prosecution of the (un)Civil War...

History that Qpublicans are trying to repeat: Every Confederate state's Constitution stated the rights of white people to own black people as slaves; recover and punish escaped slaves...

Democrats did not abandon their oath of office.  Republicans became Qpublicans when they, with very few exceptions, violated their oath of office, on multiple occasions, during the 45 administration...

Crypto/Klepto-currencies are attempting to evade (criminally?) national and international regulatory environs...

Homes are rare and expensive after the Wall Street casinos got the last of Glass-Steagall eliminated; the Savings and Loans financial services industry was also eliminated...

Charts, from the book: Bulls, Bears and the Ballot Box, that need to be updated and posted everywhere: pages: 227-229, 252-266...

Publish and harp on all the consequences for those found to be criminally involved in the various dubious activities of the 45 administration.
